Tim & Cheryl Boyd are currently planning to be in Ukraine roughly July 17 through Sept. 17 this summer. We are planning the second annual Carpathian Youth Camp beginning July 30. We are also expecting to conduct several vbs’s and teaching several seminars on the topic of World Religions.

We are presently working with several people to travel to Ukraine to help us with these summer ministry opportunities. Please pray for these people who are considering to help us this summer. Also, pray for meetings we will participate in along with Dr. Steve Gibson. We are anticipating building some connections of associations we have had in the past. Please pray for these meetings.

Cheryl and I, along with our daughter Lalia, returned today from Cincinnati where we enjoyed a long weekend visit with our daughter Laura. It was such a joy to celebrate Laura’s graduation from God’s Bible School Saturday. She graduated with two BA’s–one in Intercultural Studies and the other in Church and Family Ministry. Laura was also recognized for graduating with honors as a summa cum laude student. We are so happy for Laura’s accomplishments and we know that she has many things to offer the world before her.

Cheryl and I will soon complete our spring travel for missionary services. Currently, we are in Alabama, where we returned for mother’s (Tim’s) funeral.

We were scheduled to conduct a service at Easley Bible Methodist Church, Easley, SC this past Sunday evening (April 22nd). However, we asked Pastor Going to excuse us from that service in South Carolina, but we did keep our appointment at Mt. Tabor Community Church, Oxford, GA. We enjoyed a wonderful service there and shared the delight that these folk have as they are now in a new church location. They have been the Covington Bible Methodist Church, Covington, GA for many years. We appreciated so much the interest of the folk there and a nice dinner after the service. Thank you Mt. Tabor folk.

We will travel tomorrow from Alabama to Cincinnati to transport Laura back to God’s Bible School so that she may resume school there. Cheryl and I, then, must travel east Friday to Pennsylvania to return Mission Helps’ van we have been using. Lord willing, we will fly from Baltimore Saturday to West Palm Beach and then on to Hobe Sound.

Thank you very much for all those who have been so supportive of our mission ministry while we have been traveling and sharing in services. Thank you for everyone who has hosted us, for those who have had a meal for us, and for those who have responded in any way to our ministry efforts. Thank you as well for so much love and support as we experienced the news of mother’s (Tim’s) death and the ensuing days of the funeral.

Beverly Ann (Wells) Boyd

Tim’s mother’s funeral was yesterday (April 24th) at 2:00 pm at McCalla, Alabama.

We would like to thank so many people who came and offered support, kind words, and commitments in prayer. Many friends from the Alabama Bible Methodist Conference of Churches visited with us either during the viewing or the funeral. We thank many of the pastors and pastor’s wives who came to support us.

We want to offer special thanks to Rev. Walter Hedstrom, who organized the funeral service and offered the special message on the hope of heaven. Also, we would like to thank Rev. Doug Eads, Rev. Bob Blankenship, and Rev. & Mrs. Randall Crotts for their support and participation in the funeral service.

So many have called, sent e-mail notes, or cards. Thank you to everyone for their support for our family at this time.

Beverly Ann (Wells) Boyd

March 12, 1937 – April 21, 2012

Beverly was born in Wheeling, WV, and graduated in 1955 from Tridelphia High School, also in Wheeling, WV. Her parents, Frank & Lillian Wells, owned and operated Frank Wells Auto for many decades in the Elm Grove area of Wheeling.

For a short period of time, Beverly worked as an AT&T operator before marrying Terry L. Boyd on May 9, 1959.

Beverly was a model of the homemaker-mother. She was committed to the responsibilities of raising her three children and helping her husband in all that needed to be done in the home to maintain the values for a great family. She taught commitment, thoroughness, and impeccable neatness and orderliness.

Beverly liked social activities, both with her family and other friends. She enjoyed playing board games and cherished visits from her children and grandchildren at holidays and other occasions.

Beverly, along with her family, moved from Wheeling, WV, in June, 1972, to Athens, OH; then to Lamar, AR, in June, 1978. Lastly the family settled in Alabama during the summer of 1980.

Surviving Beverly, along with her husband, are her three children: Scott Wells, Timothy Lake, and Leslie Ann; two daughters-in-law: Theresa Boyd and Cheryl Boyd; and six grandchildren: Lalia, Cassie, Laura, Timothy, Brittany, and Leah.

We received the news from my dad (Terry Boyd) very early Saturday morning that my mother had passed away in the night. Beverly Ann Boyd was 75. Though mom was experiencing several debilitating health problems, she was not thought to be in serious condition. Cheryl and I were so glad that we had just been with mom a week ago and she was able to walk to the door and hug us goodbye. She was in a nice mood that day and did not seem to be disturbed with too much pain. However, apparently mom slipped away in the early morning hours Saturday. We all conclude that in a way we are relieved that much of her pain is over now and that she did not linger around laying in a bed for years, as she would not have wanted at all.

Beverly Ann Boyd, Christmas, 2009

Beverly Ann Boyd was born to Frank and Lillian Wells in Wheeling, West Virginia, March 12, 1937. She was married to Terry L. Boyd for almost 53 years. She had three children: Scott, Tim, and Leslie; two daughter-in-laws: Theresa Boyd and Cheryl Boyd. There are six grandchildren: Lalia, Cassie, Laura, Timothy, Brittany, and Leah.

At the time we were informed of mom’s passing, Cheryl and I were in Loveland, Oh. We altered our plans a bit as we were just near the end of one month of mission deputation. We stopped by nearby GBS to pick up Laura and then made our way south as we had originally planned. We retained the service we had scheduled with Mt. Tabor Community Church at Oxford, Ga, and then traveled on over to Alabama Sunday afternoon to be with dad and other family members.
